My Story
This August, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
Why? Because right now, over 1,400 children are diagnosed with cancer every year.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.
Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.
Your support will change little lives.
Thank you.

Let the peddling begin 🥳🚴🚴♀️
30 Jul 2025August is a special month for me as I dedicate it to riding for the hospital for Sick Kids. This year, I am dedicating additional time to ride.
So I can peddle, this is necessary to reach peddling goals of 300 km. π΄ββοΈ Jackie (daughter of all things wonderful) suggested I take bike and myself on the Go train ππ π to Union station and peddle to her place in Scarborough Bluffs ποΈ sounds amazingπ΄ββοΈπ΄ββοΈπ΄ββοΈ!!!! I can pick up some yummy bagels from the fire pit in the beaches π₯―π₯―π₯―
I think it is maybe 15 or 20 km there and (yes, I do have to return home to Barrie and peddle back to Union Stationπ΄. That would be a fun ride and probably worth 40 plus km to add to my goal. Not to mention the bonus of seeing the two beautiful granddaughters π©ββ€οΈβπ©β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈRiding in Toronto is probably a favourite and along the boardwalk takes you to a different place in a busy world.
Riding to Orillia is my go to as the rail trail takes you as far as you want to go. If I ride along the Lake Shore in Barrie or the bike trail, and to Penetang St. and back home that is a quick 20 km. , I always take in Friday Harbour and the beaches of Alcona Innisfil. Each can add 40-50km each ride. I have yet to take the 160 loop that so many talk about and I may plan for that towards the end of the month, and planning it will need as it may be close to a 8-10 hour peddling day.
I may have to think about that one more LOL!! π΄ββοΈπ΄ββοΈπ΄ββοΈπ΄ββοΈπ΄ββοΈ Thank you for joining me on my journey, as I start to peddle on the 1st of August! In loving memory of my Step dad Papa Bill who passed away April 7th 2025, of pancreatic cancer and was a big supporter to my ride each year! A special ride to Orr Lake in your memory will be my pleasure Papa RIPβ€οΈβ€οΈ say hello to momπ΄ββοΈβ€οΈπ΄ββοΈβ€οΈπ΄ββοΈβ€οΈπ΄ββοΈ
