This August, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because of Ribecka, my granddaughter who was lost to leukemia. Just as she found her voice and began to shine cancer took her. She fought hard against so much in a life of foster care and she deserved to live in the world of love she'd finally found with our family.

A couple of years ago I had knee surgery which has caused some issues with mobility, so biking 75km in the Kamloops mountains is a big challenge for me.

I'm looking forward to getting back on my bike to raise some money for Cancer!

I am raising funds through my challenge to help kids like Ribecka and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.
