I'm Riding For

Matthew (Max) Bembridge

Matt was my best friend for a lot of my early years, we were born about a month apart, grew up living three houses apart and were almost inseparable for a lot of years. Life changed (as it does) and we lost touch for a long time, eventually we reconnected but unfortunately he was taken from us far too early, another victim of Cancer. As kids we did the Riki Walkathon (fundraiser for the Sask. Abilities Council) in Saskatoon together a few times and I'm thinking of him as work my way through this fundraiser for a cause that I know he would believe in. I'll miss you forever buddy. I think of you everyday and you inspire me to be a better human.

My Story

This August, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, over 1,700 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it's the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.
