My Story

I am glad to be taking part again for the 10th year now, in this challenge. What a great and worthy cause! Over 4,600 km and just under $40K in the past 9 years! Not bad for an old guy! :>)

This year will be a bit different for me - we are moving from Calgary to Whitehorse, YT end of June, but I am coming back to Calgary for family reasons, and will be riding a LOT during the month. Should be great!

Why am I riding in the Challenge?? Because right now, over 1,700 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it's the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.

Please support this intiative by making a donation to my ride, to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.

Your support will change little lives, and bring us closer to the day that we can kick cancer's butt for the last and final time!

I've crushed my initial distance target of 500km, I've now increased it to 900km! I also increased my fundraising target from $3,000 to $4,500, and I'm close to getting there!

I'm proud to be participating so successfully this year for this great cause.

Cuz, the kids that are suffering are enduring much, much more than we are with our cycling. No matter how hard we push or how hard we ride.

Thanks for your support not only of my ride, but of this great cause!
