  “Good morning Jon, I wanted to thank you for your support for my great cycle Canada challenge in support of children with cancer. All support is gratefully accepted and acknowledged. As you know, I had a heart attack last week and it may have an impact on my Availability to complete my pledge of doing 400 km during August. I certainly think that I am capable of riding 400 km, if it is not too hot. But it seems that I have all kinds of appointments now for further medical procedures and consultations, and so I may be losing some of the time that I would have to do those rides.   “Good morning Andrea, Thank you so much for sponsoring me on my ride this year. You have been such a solid support over the years and I thank you very much. I will send you an email to give you more information, but I wanted to let you know that I may not meet my Kilometre goal this year. The reason is that on July 15, in the evening, I had a pretty large heart attack. I was taken to the hospital in town here and then transferred by ambulance to Kitchener. I had an angiogram there and I’m pretty sure that the prognosis looks promising. I’m resting at home now and feeling pretty good. Once again, thank you for your sponsorship. Love, uncle Ray.”
