Grade 12 was spent worrying for one of my best friends who had been diagnosed with cancer just that year. We picked out the wig she would wear to graduation after losing her hair from chemo treatment, and walked the survivor's lap together in that year's Relay for Life. I am so incredibly glad to say she has been considered cured for nearly a decade. Too many are not as lucky. May no other kids have their milestones marred by ports, appointments, chemo, and worse.

My Story

This August, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, over 1,700 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it's the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.
